Maunawili residents – we will be reaching out to you soon!
New year, new tree! We aim to plant trees in early January 2019, timing contingent on nursery stock availability. Homeowners who sign up will be contacted via the information they provide on the exact timing of the tree planting.
The Right-of Way
Early Tree Watering and Care
Young trees need water to grow healthy and strong. New trees require thorough and more frequent watering to help establish deep, healthy root systems. Proper watering of young trees can make them less invasive to surface hardscape and decrease water needs over time. As they mature, trees adapt to local water conditions. However, mature tress can sometimes need infrequent yet thorough watering.
Tree adopters will receive more information on early tree care throughout the program!
